Resurrection

Yesterday, the world was changed. Whether you ascribe to Judeo-Christian theology, pagan theology, astrology, or no theology, the energy is present everywhere on the planet and in the stars today. (And yesterday’s earthquake in Southern California is proof! :) ) The world shifted yesterday; the old world of sin and darkness has given way to light. Christ, the son/sun, the sun god Ra, whatever you choose to call him, has been miraculously reborn and resurrected in the world – and in you. This takes place not only in ancient stories and biblical texts, but also in the formation and movements of specific planets and stars in the sky which the ancients understood in a way that most have lost connection to. Their wisdom was that, “so above, so below”, and these changes and shifts in the energy and patterns of the cosmos – and our relation to them on earth – also take place within our own psyche – you might say in a very psychic sense, energetically.

Today marks a unique opportunity to return to the innocence of your original being, to be forgiven for your sins and imperfections, and to take a step on your path towards salvation. Salvation is not something that will be doled out by despondent church leaders, your family, your friends. It will not be provided to you by a spiritual guru or self-help book. Salvation is not something that is earned or rewarded by some heavenly being who casts judgment on you and your actions. Salvation grows from within, when you allow yourself to leave behind the mistakes, experiences, troubles and resistances of the past and forgive yourself – taking steps closer to your true nature as a being – who you really are in spirit, in all its uniqueness and beauty.

You may have noticed in the past week you, like Christ in the parables and stories, have been “crucified” – torn down and alienated by the very people who “love you” because of your unwaivering faith, or your desire to lead an authentic, honest life. You may be struggling to find or regain balance, and you might be taking steps towards activating changes that will bring more of your unique energy into your life. People might, literally or energetically, be stoning you to death! Or forcing a crown of thorns on your head and nailing you to a cross for all to see. This is all part of the process towards your salvation. It’s uncomfortable. But it’s necessary.

Look around your reality today with fresh eyes. You’ve emerged from the tomb of your own sacrifice. See things clearly for what they are, knowing what you know now as opposed to before. Notice where things have changed and are changing. Show compassion and forgiveness for yourself and others, just as Christ showed – whether it is historical fact or spiritual analogy, it’s really all the same – while being persecuted on your own metaphorical cross. In his parables he taught that the true gift of his teachings is that we are all to become as Christ. His energy of forgiveness, of gratitude resides in each of us. That was the sacrifice he made, and was his gift to us. It is as the sunlight itself – life giving, healing, and part of our true nature, biologically and spiritually.
Take that step today, you’re ready.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Matthew 5:14
