Back to the future
One of the cool things about being psychic and working with an energy awareness is that I get the opportunity to look at the energy of all sorts of things aside from the mundane, daily energies that everyone wants to look at in readings. One thing that I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at in the last year is the future.
Now, I have to make a clarification here because while I tell my clients that I don’t tell the future, that doesn’t mean that I can’t read the future. And I do. Often. But things change in an instant – free will creates the opportunity for us to recreate our destinies every moment of our lives. But its still fun to look at the possibilities.
So what do I see for the future? Well, I’m optimistic, that’s for sure. The lies that we’ve been living in are all coming (quickly) to the surface – on a societal and global scale. The inequities of our old ways of working are becoming more and more clear, and action is coming to manifest change. Humanity seems to be shifting towards a higher vibration of energy, one where synchronicities can occur more fluently, where manifestations are faster, where people are aware on a new level.
I was listening to a podcast yesterday talking about the 2012 phenomenon. The guest on the show was talking about how she saw us moving back towards a more agrarian life, one where people would grow their own food and live on and in closer harmony with the land. While that sounds somewhat romantic, I don’t really see that happening. To be honest, its not really a future that sounds appealing to me. If I had to spend half my time growing my own food, I wouldn’t get to do all the things in my life that allow me to give back to the planet and to people in my own unique way. Plus, I don’t have a lot of desire to be a property owner, so if I don’t have land to tend – then what, I don’t get to eat?
What I do see is a global shift in our values, in our awareness, in our consciousness. A recognition that we are like neutrons circling our planet, and that our planet is but one atom in the cosmos. A shared perspective and understanding that the differences we see between us are much smaller than the shared experience of being a human being on this planet at this time. This shift has already started. Look around you. Where is your perspective changing?

A frog visits his local Psychic and during the reading is told, “You are going to meet a beautiful young girl who will want to know everything about you.”
The frog says, “This is great! Will I meet her at a party, or what?”
“No,” says the psychic. “Next semester in her biology class.”
Read More...Chains of Love
Recently I gave a reading to man who was just absolutely amazing. Capable, strong, confident, attractive. The picture that I saw in his emotional and relationship space was like a Disney film – green meadow, witty talking chipmunks, the whole nine yards. It was the energy of – “everything’s great. everything’s fine. everything’s perfect.”
As a psychic, when I see a picture that seems “perfect” I get suspicious – because life isn’t perfect. It’s messy, it changes, it grows. Besides, perfection is boring and stale.
So I looked behind it and there this man was, behind this perfect picture, and he was in a midevil jail cell, chained to the wall, knees drawn up to his chest. He was wearing rags and crying; he was a prisoner. He was being punished.
But when I looked around, there was no jailor. There was nobody punishing him. In fact, the brace he wore on his ankle was not even connected to the wall! He had, in some ways, made himself a prisoner in his own space.
So often, when we get wounded or hurt, we punish ourselves as if we’ve done something horribly wrong, or that we don’t deserve to have more. Sometimes its because we couldn’t have the “perfect picture” of what we wanted; so we feel like a failure. Sometimes we’re literally in a punishing situation or relationship because that’s what we’ve been programmed to accept, to want.
None of that is ever your energy.
When I showed this man that he could leave the jail at any time; that he could have his freedom to stop punishing himself, to stop being a prisoner in this space, his spirit was completely shocked. It was as if nobody had ever shown him that he didn’t have to suffer, that he could have so much more.
Where are you making yourself a prisoner? Is it in your love space? Your work space? Your spirituality?
The universe is such a huge place, filled with excitement, danger, love, success and failure. It’s our classroom to learn what we can while we’re here. Isn’t it time you left the jail cell you’ve been keeping yourself in and have more?
Read More...Vulnerability
In order to live in your truth, to really have the thing that you’re looking to have or to be the person that you truly wish to be, you have to operate with quite a bit of vulnerability. That can be really terrifying, because we spend so much of our lives “shoring up”, or putting our game face on.
I find that when people open themselves up, become vulnerable to rejection or failure, allow another person to really see who they are, what they are, what they desire – that’s when the greatest gifts appear. It’s when they are allowed to call in the most amazing things.
Where is it that you aren’t allowing yourself to be vulnerable? Perhaps that’s where you need to take a step. Is the truth in the vulnerability or is the vulnerability in the truth? What does vulnerability look like for you? Were you wounded at some point in your life, making it seem wrong to allow someone else to see your truth?
Part of the magic of a clairvoyant reading is being vulnerable to the reader. To allow yourself to be seen, without guard, without your game face. And in that – to really see yourself.

Things are a-foot and change is coming. These days, because I’m so open to it, my life changes pretty drastically and on a pretty regular basis.
I’ve recently updated my website, and I’m looking for a matching skin for my blog. So change is coming to the blog. The podcast has a new weekly schedule, I’m offering readings this weekend for half price.
I’ve included information on my website about my new services as a celebrant. I’m so excited about this.
Hope everything is well with you, dear readers. And I hope you’re getting as much change as you’d like to have in your lives.
Read More...Trust
Trust is a big deal, especially during times of extreme change or growth. We want to put our trust in all sorts of other things as a way of feeling safe… for instance, we can put the energy of our trust in god, in hopes that everything is going to turn out all right. we can put our trust in our job or our bosses, that they will watch out for us in the workplace, and that we’ll keep our jobs. We trust that our friends will always be there for us, as a shoulder to cry on, or to provide a much needed laugh. We can trust that our investments – wether they be financial, emotional, or spiritual – will pay off in the ways we’d like them to in the end.
The place that we have a hard time putting our trust is in ourselves. There’s a perception that because we’re so “in” our own lives, that we can’t be onjective enough to know what’s best, or what to do next. We can fall into the trap of putting our trust outside of ourselves in order to feel safe.
When I first got my driver’s license, I took my old Ford Escort (Natalie was her name, great car!) to my High School parking lot when it was covered with snow and ice. I gunned it and lost control of the car in a skid. I turned into the skid and instantly gained control of my car. Telling someone to turn into a skid, that’s crazy talk. It seems so wrong, but it works. That takes trust to do.
Perhaps when you’re most unsure of what’s going on in your life, when things seem completely out of control and like everything is falling apart ala a house of cards – perhaps that’s when you need to turn into the skid. Do the thing that doesn’t make any sense. Not only will you learn the value of trusting yourself – there’s something magical about defying the odds and gaining control of your car. It’s exhilarating and makes you feel like you can do anything. And you can.
